CM Siddaramaiah has stated that the DDPI and BEO have been suspended due to the decline in SSLC exam results in Vijayanagara district. Speaking after the KDP meeting in Hosapete, he said that Vijayanagara district has fallen from 10th to 27th place in SSLC exam results. The district's percentage has declined. He said that since the CEO is responsible for this, a notice has been issued and he has been suspended.
The CM questioned, "If the results have fallen to this level even after giving 20% grace marks this time, what is your achievement? Why shouldn't you be held responsible for this?" He added that he has instructed not to give grace marks next year.
Responding to the confusion about the funds for Ballari and Vijayanagara districts, he said there's some confusion regarding the DMF funds of the two districts. Vijayanagara claims they should get 28%, but Ballari district doesn't agree. He has asked for a proper review of this. He stated that they will all sit together and make the right decision.
He has instructed to desilt the lakes and ensure that rainwater flows smoothly into the lakes. He has also directed to clear any encroachments on lakes if there are any. He emphasized that lakes are very important and need to be fixed.
Regarding the construction of the Navali parallel reservoir, he said that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have a share in it. Therefore, they will discuss with them.
