Dharwad: The Mummigatti villlage is grappling with a dengue outbreak as four residents have tested positive for the disease, and a three-and-a-half-year-old child has tragically died, confirmed health officials. The outbreak began with the onset of the monsoon season, which has seen a spike in fever cases in the village.

Health officials conducted tests on 42 individuals suffering from fever, and four, including the young child, were confirmed to have dengue. The death of the toddler has intensified concerns among the local population and health authorities.

In response to the outbreak, health officials have implemented several measures to curb the spread of dengue and increase awareness among the villagers.

The health department is urging residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with the ongoing efforts to control the dengue outbreak. The situation is being closely monitored, and additional resources are being mobilized to prevent further cases and fatalities.
