According to preliminary information from the Investigative Committee of Russia, terrorist attacks in Dagestan resulted in the deaths of fifteen law enforcement officers and four civilians, including an Orthodox priest, on Monday.

On Sunday evening, unidentified assailants targeted two churches, a synagogue, and a traffic police station in Derbent and Makhachkala. This led authorities to launch a counterterrorist operation. The National Antiterrorism Committee reported that the operation concluded earlier in the day.

"Preliminary reports confirm that 15 law enforcement officers and four civilians, among them an Orthodox priest, were killed," the committee's statement said.

The statement further revealed that five terrorists involved in the attacks were neutralized, and their identities have been confirmed.
