HDFC Asset Management Company has announced a 27% rise in net profit for the June quarter, reaching ₹604 crore, up from ₹477 crore in the same period last year. The company also reported a 29% increase in income, which rose to ₹949 crore from ₹733 crore in the previous year. Overall expenses grew by 22%, totaling ₹196 crore compared to ₹161 crore last year.
The average assets under management (AUM) experienced a 38% increase, reaching ₹6.72 lakh crore, up from ₹4.86 lakh crore. Equity AUM saw a significant 64% rise to ₹4.07 lakh crore from ₹2.49 lakh crore, while debt assets grew by 10% to ₹1.43 lakh crore from ₹1.30 lakh crore.
Systematic investment plans (SIPs) inflows surged 70% to ₹3,210 crore, up from ₹1,890 crore. SIP assets now stand at ₹1.61 lakh crore. However, the proportion of direct investors decreased to 22% from 42% in the same quarter last year.
