Hubballi: After the incident where the main accused Farhan was shot in the leg in connection with a theft case under Keshwapur Police Station jurisdiction, Hubballi police have now fired upon a notorious robber in another case.
Inspector M.S. Hugar of Hubballi Suburban Police Station shot the accused in the leg. A few days ago, there was a robbery case near Channamma Circle within the Suburban Police Station limits, where a chain, ring, phone, and money were stolen. Taking this case seriously, the Suburban Police Station officers, under the guidance of senior officials, conducted an investigation and arrested the accused Arun Nayak.
Accordingly, when further interrogation was conducted, Arun took the police to MTS Colony, saying he would provide information about others involved.
At this time, the accused Arun tried to escape by diverting the police's attention elsewhere. Not only that, he attempted to attack police constables D.R. Pammar and Tarun Goodannavar. As Arun Nayak was trying to flee after attacking the constables, Inspector M.S. Hoogar shot him in the leg. As a result, the accused was injured in the leg and has been sent to KIMS Hospital.
Police have stated that they are gathering more information related to this incident.
