On Monday, Narendra Modi assumed office for a historic third consecutive term as Prime Minister at the PMO, where he received a warm and enthusiastic welcome.
Upon arriving at the Prime Minister's Office in South Block, Modi was greeted by the PMO staff with loud applause. He acknowledged their reception with folded hands, expressing gratitude.
After taking charge, Modi's first official action was to sign a file authorizing the release of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme. This decision will benefit 9.3 crore farmers, distributing approximately Rs 20,000 crores.
Expressing his commitment to farmer welfare, Modi stated, “Ours is a government fully committed to Kisan Kalyan (farmer welfare). It is therefore fitting that the first file signed on taking charge is related to farmer welfare. We want to keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.”
Narendra Modi was sworn in as India's 16th Prime Minister on Sunday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, in a grand ceremony attended by leaders from neighboring countries and the Indian Ocean region.
