Having successfully garnered the necessary support to form the government, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, took the oath of office on June 9. Prominent Union Ministers such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari have retained their previous portfolios. New faces in the cabinet include Shivraj Singh Chouhan, J.P. Nadda, and H.D. Kumaraswamy.

Both S. Jaishankar and Nirmala Sitharaman continue to oversee the External Affairs and Finance portfolios, respectively. However, notable absentees from the list include Anurag Thakur and Smriti Irani.
