An 11-year-old boy suffered burns while attempting a fire stunt at an event organized in honor of actor-politician Vijay's birthday.

The incident took place at Suganya Wedding Hall in Neelankarai. Despite Vijay's appeal to refrain from celebrations following the Kallakurichi tragedy, the event was arranged by Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Krishvva from Mylapore, was injured while trying to break a set of flaming tiles. A video capturing the incident shows his hand catching fire, causing panic as flames spread on stage. Prompt intervention by others at the event helped rescue him.

Police confirmed no case had been filed as per the family's request.
