Three people lost their lives, and 16 others sustained injuries in a mass shooting that occurred outside a nightclub in Mississippi. BNO News reported that the incident took place early Sunday morning (local time). As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.


The Indianola Police Department received a call about the incident on Church Street in Indianola around 1 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, police confirmed that 19 individuals had been shot, including three teenagers, all 19 years old, who were pronounced dead. The injured victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.


Eyewitnesses recounted hearing numerous gunshots in the area, with some victims being hit directly and others by ricocheting bullets. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Indianola Police Chief Ronald Sampson mentioned to a local newspaper, "Several people reported that they were outside when they suddenly heard gunfire."
