Telugu Desam Party Leader K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has announced that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12 at 4:55 PM.
Expressing his anticipation for the event, Chandrababu Naidu stated, "It's a joyous moment for the people of Tamil Nadu, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has acknowledged the efforts of our leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Both our state leaders have shown immense respect towards Modi Ji. However, we seek substantial support from the Centre, especially considering the challenges left by former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy."
Responding to queries regarding TDP's demands for ministries in PM Modi's cabinet, Raghu Rama Krishna Raju remarked, "Our party leader is not one to make demands. While he can leverage his cordial relations for benefits, demanding is not his approach."
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu affirmed TDP's backing to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and lauded Narendra Modi as the "right leader at the right time" for India during an address to NDA MPs.
"Narendra Modi has demonstrated vision and efficiency in his execution of policies. India is fortunate to have him as a leader. I proudly nominate Narendra Modi ji for the post of Prime Minister on behalf of Telugu Desam Party. His vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' can lead us towards a poverty-free India," Naidu asserted, drawing parallels between Modi's vision and the humanism advocated by TDP's late founder NT Rama Rao.
Earlier in the week, the NDA leaders convened, passing a resolution to elect Narendra Modi as their leader. Sources indicate that Modi is likely to take oath for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister on June 9.
