Rail Disaster in West Bengal: Several Feared Dead After Freight Train Collides with Passenger Train



A tragic train accident occurred in West Bengal when a speeding freight train crashed into the stationary Kanchenjunga Express. The collision happened near Rangapani station shortly after the Kanchenjunga Express had passed through Siliguri on its journey from NJP to Sealdah. The impact caused severe damage to three of the train's rear coaches, resulting in the deaths of a few passengers, as reported by sources. The exact number of death is not yet available.

Railway authorities have confirmed that the incident took place between Rangapani and Nijbari stations.
