Bengaluru: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has slammed the Karnataka Congress government in connection with the CID's effort to arrest veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa in connection with a POCSO case registered against him. He alleged that the Congress is engaging in vendetta politics against the BJP stalwart as they are unable to digest the recent defeat in the Lok Sabha election. Congress, to hide its misrule in the state, is targeting the veteran leader with baseless charges, he said.

Home Minister G Parameshwara had previously stated that the victim was mentally unstable and had filed the case against Yediyurappa with ill intentions. Now, the Congress is engaging in another drama after the election, Joshi said.

BS Yediyurappa is facing charges of sexually harassing a minor. He allegedly sexually abused the victim when she and her mother came to seek help from him, sources said.
