BJP former MLC MB Bhanuprakash Passes Away While Protesting Fuel Price Hike

                                     


Shivamogga: BJP leader and former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) M B Bhanuprakash, aged 69, passed away due to a cardiac arrest while participating in a protest against the Congress government over the rising petrol and diesel prices at Seenappa Setty Circle on Monday.


According to party sources, Bhanuprakash was leading the demonstration and addressing the protesters as part of the agitation. He collapsed while getting into a car and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The BJP leader's last rites are scheduled to take place in the evening at Mattur village in Shivamogga taluk.

Bhanuprakash had held numerous positions within the BJP, including state vice-president and district unit president. Known as the Brahmin face of the Karnataka BJP, he maintained a strong rapport with former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
