Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah firmly denied on Wednesday any claims of being pressured by his Cabinet colleagues or lawmakers to intervene in the high-profile homicide investigation involving Sandalwood actor Darshan.

In response to media reports, Siddaramaiah stated, "The rumors circulating on television about me being under pressure are completely false. No minister or MLA has exerted any pressure on me, and even if they did, I would not comply," he told reporters.

He emphasized that the investigation will proceed strictly according to the law. "We will adhere to legal procedures. The police have been granted full autonomy to conduct the investigation as per the law," Siddaramaiah said.

Addressing speculation about the potential replacement of senior advocate Prasanna Kumar as the special public prosecutor (SPP), Siddaramaiah clarified, "I am unaware of any plans to change the SPP. No such proposal is currently before me," he added.
